Ali-Reza Mirsajadi

Ali-Reza Mirsajadi is a scholar, director, activist, and assistant professor of theatre studies at the Theatre School at DePaul University. Their work focuses on minoritarian performance and dramatic literature, particularly with respect to the MENA world, gender-expansive identities and American BIPOC narratives. Their scholarship has been published in the Theatre Journal, TDR and Theatre Topics, and they are currently working on a monograph titled Performing the Polyseme: Theatre and Ambiguity in Post-Revolutionary Iran. They hold a PhD in theatre and performance studies from Tufts University (2019).
