Ann Murphy

Ann Murphy is associate professor and chair of the Dance Department at Mills College, Oakland, California, where she has taught since 2007. She is the dance critic for the Bay Area News Group and has written for many publications including the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. She is a contributor to The Oxford Handbook of Screendance Studies and to the monograph Nework of Pointes, and also founded the Bay Area monthly publication In Dance.
