Javed Malick

Javed Malick is an academic and theatre scholar. He taught English Literature at Delhi University. His publications include Toward a Theater of the Oppressed: The Dramaturgy of John Arden; Diverse Pursuits: Essays on Drama and Theatre; and Imaginations of an Alternative World: Social Hope Before Marx. Among his edited volumes are A Critical Companion to Dario Fo’s ‘The Accidental Death of an Anarchist’ and (coedited with Neeraj Malik) Habib Tanvir: Reflections & Reminiscences. His English translation of Habib Tanvir’s play Agra Bazaar was published by Seagull Books. He was also a freelance theatre columnist for a number of national dailies including Times of India, Economic Times, and The Telegraph.
