Ivana Hostová is a translator, critic and translation studies scholar affiliated with the Institute of Slovak Literature at the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Department of Translation Studies at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia. Her research integrates various theoretical perspectives, including ecocriticism, gender studies, sociology, political economy, psychoanalysis, critical theory, and posthumanism. As a translator into English, she focuses on Slovak poets working in modernist and (post)conceptual traditions.
