Jayanta Dey is a journalist, novelist and short-story writer based in Calcutta. He is the editor of the Bengali weekly magazine Saptahik Bartaman. He has won several awards for this writing, including the Somenchanda Smriti Puraskar, Golpomala Puraskar and Namita Chattopadhyay Sahitya Puraskar.
