Peter Hitchcock teaches literature, film, and theory at the City University of New York (CUNY). He is also the associate director of the Center for Place, Culture, and Politics at the CUNY Graduate Center. He writes on the cultural politics of anti-capitalism and anti-imperialism, particularly as mediated by class, race, gender, and nation. His many books include Labor in Culture; or, Worker of the World(s) (2017), The Long Space (2009), Imaginary States (2003) and Dialogics of the Oppressed (1992).
