Collection: Sami Tchak

Born in Togo in 1960, Sami Tchak is a celebrated novelist and essayist. A philosophy graduate from the University of Lomé, he later earned a doctorate in sociology from Paris-Sorbonne in 1993. Since his acclaimed novel Hermina (2003), Tchak has published numerous novels and essays exploring themes of sexuality, identity, and power, earning major awards such as the Grand Prix littéraire d’Afrique noire (2004) and the Prix Ahmadou-Kourouma (2007). His fiction has been translated into multiple languages.
