Czech author Viktorie Hanišová (b. 1980) explores themes of trauma, motherhood, and societal issues in her acclaimed works. Her novels, including Anežka (2015), The Mushroom Gatherer (2018) and Reconstruction (2019), form a loose trilogy on trauma and family dynamics. A graduate of Charles University, Prague, Hanišová also writes short stories and works as a translator and language teacher.
