Adriano Prosperi is an emeritus professor of modern history at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. His works include Infanticide, Secular Justice, and Religious Debate in Early Modern Europe (2016), Justice Blindfolded: The Historical Course of an Image (2018), Crime and Forgiveness: Christianizing Execution in Medieval Europe (2020) and (with Carlo Ginzburg) Puzzles (2025).
